Miami River Development
Diaz Commercial launched its Miami River Development initiative in June 2023. The objective of this marketing project is to unite current property owners and global real estate investors, with the goal of developing the Miami River District into a World Class walkable Mixed-Use Community with a thriving local economy.
The Miami River is a river in the State of Florida that drains out of the Everglades and runs through the City of Miami, including Downtown. The 5.5-mile (8.9 km) long river flows from the terminus of the Miami Canal at Miami International Airport to Biscayne Bay. The Miami River evolved over thousands of years from a tidal channel into a freshwater stream that carried water from the Everglades to Biscayne Bay. It is the oldest natural landmark in Southeast Florida.
The Miami River District was coined in the early 2000’s and originally referred to the Eastern area of the Miami River near Biscayne Bay between Downtown Miami and Brickell, where real estate development had erupted at the time. Today, the Miami River District extends beyond the Biscayne Bay area towards the West, and the river district itself is divided into the Lower, Middle and Upper geographic sections. Given the consistent demand for Miami real estate in recent years, during and post-covid, development of commercial property along the the Miami River is now beginning to encompass the entire 5.5 mile stretch.
Development Land Assemblage opportunities abound the Miami River District, including along the river bank and the surrounding city blocks. Connect with us to learn more about Buying and Selling development real estate in the Miami River District.
